Noble Lancaster…

Last week I was on with Snelly in the morning talking about Lancashire Day, celebrated annually on 27th November. Lancashire Day was our riposte to Yorkshire Day – encouraged by those folks over the Pennines. It’s been celebrated in the boundaries of the historic county of Lancashire since 1996, and is partly an attempt by the campaign group Friends of Real Lancashire to address what they see as the dimunition of the Lancastrian identity after the reorganisation of local government in 1974 which created Merseyside and Greater Manchester amongst others.

Anyway, Snelly and I try to get to the bottom of it here (01:54).
